At Katherine South Primary School, we have an AFL academy and a Rugby Academy. In our AFL Academy we train at recess on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.

 

We like to start off with a drill that focuses on a key skill the kids will learn such as, handballing, tackling, kicking or marking.

Once we have completed the drill, we then move into a game to see if students implement the skill into their gameplay. Throughout the year we participate in Gala days and even in the local under 12’s school competition, which is played on Tuesdays after school.
